Production Notes

July 10th 2009

We just got back from some filming for the documentary. We trudged around in the jungles around Salem today looking for our elusive prey. I know it sounds strange to mention the homeless as prey (we only mean it in the context of having to get into the Wild (line) to find them. I don’t often get bothered by things that we see on our expeditions, but today I got a little sick at some things we encountered. I bet you want to see yeah? I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking that we’ll be posting a teaser about it, yeah? Nope, sorry, there are only two ways to see this footage. That is to donate to the project and get access to the donors only behind the scenes clips (then you can see it only if we use it in a clip for this section), or wait for the doc to come out.

We had a great interview with an even greater person. It’s always a pleasure to meet with highly intelligent people, who aren’t afraid to offer their opinions, it’s even better when the opinions make a lot of sense. Thank you Mr. Merced for your very valuable time, and thank you all at OHCS for letting us intrude as we have. If any of you have any insight or ideas, please do not hesitate for a moment to contact us.

Ok here's a quick update. We did a bit filming last week for the documentary and got some very interesting footage. Thanks to everyone that helped. From that footage will(probably) be cutting one more public teaser for your enjoyment, but it will not be accessible to unregistered viewers, you will need to register to see it. This is mostly having to do with content, there is some interesting stuff here. In the future any teaser footage will only be accessible for donors and sponsors of the film.

We are doing a re shoot of an interview in the next week; we are looking forward to that. We also have some things in the works for filming in California and we will update here as this develops.

Everyone have a very safe, very happy and very American 4th of July.. Happy Independence Day from all of us here at Wild Line Films.

We're updating the content of this section to be more in line with "Production Notes". The director's notes are still being written and logged; we're just looking at the best way to disseminate those. Some thoughts are DVD content, a separate director's blog for members only with sections strictly for donors and sponsors of the film (Little Red Hen Syndrome, if you want to help eat the bread, you gotta help make it); we're also playing with thoughts on a "radio" show, either online or on air. If anyone has any insight on the best way to get something like that started, please contact us.
